Every round the multiplier starts at 1.00× and climbs. At some point it crashes. Cash out before that and your bet pays bet × multiplier; get caught holding and the bet is gone.
The crash point is fixed by the keeper before the round starts and settled onchain afterwards, so every round can be checked against the contract once it resolves.
